Subjectivity, Memory and History

This line of research intertwines horizontally and vertically problems of subjectivity, memory and history, investigating them under multiple aspects and theoretical and analytical perspectives. It integrates projects in mutually transversal axes, according to their insertion in the central issues of this research area, namely: how, in the multicultural space in which literatures exist, can one politically point out reversals of crystallized processes of the subjective, the memorable and the historical? The thematic axes are listed as follows:

a. History as archive, the violence in writing history and in subjectivation practices.

b. Dismantling collections in the cultural field as a possible form of the memorable, or what remains on the horizon of the American and African diasporas, incursions through memory as a critical matter of culture.

c. Subject and body as the memorable critic in biographical and autobiographical writings.

d. Opening to the vestiges of the desubjectifying experience in the limit of language.
